Some of the most raucous crowds in the history of the DECC attended NCAA two-game, total-goal quarterfinal series in 1984 (Minnesota Duluth defeating Clarkson 9-8) and 1985 (UMD defeating Harvard 8-4).

Center Andrew Carroll, 27, has re-signed with Connecticut of the American Hockey League. He came to the Whale on Jan. 30 on a Professional Tryout agreement after playing with the Idaho Steelheads of the East Coast Hockey League.
