NCAA tournament one day away: Minnesota returns to Grand Rapids, Mich.

The last time the University of Minnesota was in Grand Rapids, Mich., the Gophers were  two-time defending NCAA champions. Minnesota was eliminated in the Midwest title game, losing to Minnesota Duluth 3-1 on March 28, 2004.

Minnesota is back at Van Andel Arena on Friday to face Yale in the opening round of the West Regional, while North Dakota faces Niagara in the second game. The final is Saturday.
