J.T. Brown sidelined; Reiter wins fourth straight; Connolly back with Farjestad

Winger J.T. Brown suffered a broken collarbone last month in the American Hockey League and won’t be with Tampa Bay for the NHL season. An update from the Tampa Bay Times is here.

Goalie Kenny Reiter of Fort Wayne (Ind.) of the East Coast Hockey League has won four straight starts and was the game’s No. 1 star in stopping 41 of 43 shots in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Cincinnati. Fort Wayne team notes are here.

Jack Connolly has returned to the Farjestad BK lineup in the Swedish Elite League following a groin injury, scoring twice in his first game back last week. The team website has a Q&A with Connolly here.

It is being reported that the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena will receive a new video scoreboard before the 2013-14 season, replacing the 20-year-old model.
