Game Day: UMD vs. Maine at Florida College Classic

After a 13-day break, Minnesota Duluth (7-8-3) opens the second half of the season Friday in the Florida College Classic in Estero, Fla., versus Maine (2-11-2) of Hockey East. The game is 6:35 p.m. (94.1 FM).

No. 11 Cornell faces No. 19 Ferris State in the opening 3:05 p.m. game Friday. Game times are 3:05 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. Saturday.

No. 16 St. Cloud State started the WCHA’s holiday play at home Thursday in a 4-3 loss to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The Huskies led 2-0 before RPI scored three times in the second period (two from Milos Bubela), and Mark McGowan broke a 3-3 tie with 2:12 to play. Drew LeBlanc had two assists for the Huskies.
