Minnesota Duluth: Back to work

Minnesota Duluth is back on the ice at 1 p.m. Wednesday in preparation for the Florida College Classic in Estero, Fla. The Bulldogs also practice at Amsoil Arena on Thursday morning before traveling. Temperatures in Estero, Fla., predicted in the 70s this week.

UMD (7-8-3) faces Maine (2-11-2) at 6:35 p.m. Friday. Cornell University (6-3-2) of Ithaca, N.Y., meets Ferris State (7-7-3) of Big Rapids, Mich., at 3:05 p.m. The winners and losers are paired on Saturday with the same game times.

Cornell is without sophomore forward Cole Bardreau, an assistant captain this week with the United States team in the World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia. The tournament opened Wednesday, while the Americans begin play Thursday vs. Germany.
