Tournaments in one week; Gersich to North Dakota; Denver’s winless streak; U.S. Juniors win

After a brief holiday break, WCHA teams return to game action in one week, including Minnesota Duluth facing Maine in the first round of the Florida College Classic on Dec. 28 in Estero, Fla.

North Dakota has claimed another recruit from the state of Minnesota, sophomore forward Frank Gersich of Holy Family Catholic. His father, Frank, was a defenseman at Duluth Central High School and the University of Minnesota. The Grand Forks Herald has an update here.
