WCHA mid-season awards; Maine’s struggles

Chris Dilks of the Western College Hockey blog has put together a WCHA mid-season list of recognition. Minnesota Duluth does get a bit of recognition as center Tony Cameranesi is listed as the top freshman to this point. Senior winger Mike Seidel, tied for the WCHA goal-scoring lead for all games with 11, is not mentioned. The post is here.

UMD’s next opponent, Maine, in the Florida College Classic on Dec. 28, in Estero, Fla., has had a rough first half of the season. In its most recent game, Maine (2-11-2) was shut out by No. 6-ranked Boston University 1-0. Larry Mahoney of the Bangor (Maine) Daily News has a game recap here.
