Minnesota Duluth: Home for the holidays; Toninato added for 2013-14

Minnesota Duluth (2-6-2) faces No. 12 St. Cloud State (6-4) at 7:37 p.m. Friday and 7:07 p.m. at Amsoil Arena (94.1 FM and My9). It marks the first time the Bulldogs have been home for a series over Thanksgiving weekend since 2006, also against the Huskies.

Coach Scott Sandelin said he wasn’t expecting any major lineup changes for the St. Cloud State series. And after playing Aaron Crandall and Matt McNeely last weekend at North Dakota, Sandelin said he was undecided about Friday’s starter in goal.

The Bulldogs officially added forward Dom Toninato of Duluth to its signed recruiting class for 2013-14. He signed Tuesday and UMD has received the paperwork. The NCAA early-signing period ends Wednesday. Toninato is second in scoring for the Fargo (N.D.) Force in the U.S. Hockey League with six goals and 13 assists for 19 points in 17 games.
