First day of practice; women’s season underway

As college men open practice Saturday, the Division I women’s season is underway.

On Friday in the WCHA, two ranked teams lost at home as Ohio State defeated Minnesota Duluth 3-1 at Amsoil Arena and Minnesota State-Mankato rallied to beat North Dakota 3-2 in Grand Forks, N.D.

Senior forward Drew LeBlanc of Hermantown has been named a St. Cloud State co-captain this season. A news release from the school is here.
