Game Day: Minnesota State-Mankato at UMD

The Christmas City of the North Parade signals the start of the holiday season Friday in Duluth and pushes back by a half hour the start of Minnesota Duluth’s series-opening game with Minnesota State-Mankato to 7:37 p.m. at Amsoil Arena.

UMD coach Scott Sandelin said his lineup will remain the same as last Saturday in a 3-1 victory over Alaska Anchorage. That would have freshman Derik Johnson among the defensemen. The son of former UMD defenseman Jim Johnson is profiled in Friday’s News Tribune here.
