UMD-Union open NCAA tournament

The first game of the 2011 NCAA tournament is just two days away — Minnesota Duluth meeting Union College of Schenectady, N.Y., in the East Regional semifinals at 2 p.m. CDT in Bridgeport, Conn.

That game kicks-off the four-region, 16-team event. Top-seed Yale plays the Air Force Academy in the East Regional’s second game at 5:30 p.m.

UMD is to take a charter flight Wednesday afternoon to Connecticut and have practice Thursday morning at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.

  1. There are no easy games in the NCAA’s. If the Bulldogs don’t bring their best game, Union will bowl them under fast. They can really put points on the board. They score more than UMD by far. Sure hope the Dogs are ready. Don’t want to see my investment in Frozen 4 tickets wasted!
