Vancouver Re-Signs Raymond

      The Vancouver Sun is reporting Monday that the Vancouver Canucks completed a last-minute deal with former Minnesota Duluth winger Mason Raymond, avoiding arbitration. That story is here.

     Raymond, 24, signed for two years and $5.1-million which will pay $2.5 million this season and $2.6 million in 2011-12.

     Raymond, picked in the second round by the Canucks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, has 45 goals and 97 points in 203 career NHL games.In 2009-10, he had 25 goals and 28 assists for 53 points in 82 games. At UMD, he had 25 goals and 49 assists for 74 points in 79 games from 2005-07.
