Long-time Duluth radio sports voice Mark Fleischer, who has covered Minnesota Duluth hockey on Charter Cable television the past two years, is back with Midwest Communications starting Monday, according to the release below:
Midwest Communications Radio Duluth iannounces Mark Fleischer as Operations Manager, beginning Monday.
Fleischer has worked in local radio since 1986 when hired as an announcer for WDSM-AM and stayed with the station, eventually becoming Operations Manager of Midwest Communications Duluth earlier this decade. His most recent job was Sports Director at Red Rock Radio in Duluth. He’s also done play-by-play sports announcing for local high school hockey and football as well as Minnesota Duluth football and hockey.
“I’m really excited about returning to Midwest Communications to work with these great radio stations, it’s like coming home” said Fleischer.
The Operations Manager position was held by Corey Carter until recently when he accepted a position with Midwest Communications in Green Bay.
“We are sorry to see Corey leave but happy that he’s staying in the Midwest Communications Family, and we’re extremely excited to have Mark back in our building” said Midwest Communications Duluth Market Manager Susan Nash.
Midwest Communications operates 6 radio stations in the Duluth/Superior market: 610 KDAL-AM, 710 WDSM-AM, 970 WGEE-AM, 98.9 KTCO-FM, Classic Rock 102.5 KHQG-FM and Bridge 95.7 KDAL-FM.
