NCAA Rules Update

     The NCAA Ice Hockey Rules Committee, after getting some heat for recent rules changes, has backpedaled and said there will be no icing for a shorthanded team during penalties.

     Also with NHL development and prospect camps underway, completed or yet to come, a prelimiary list of Minnesota Duluth players and recruits taking part are Jack Connolly, Dan DeLisle and Dylan Olsen with Chicago (Friday through Monday); Justin Fontaine with the Minnesota Wild (July 13-19); Mike Connolly with the Edmonton Oilers (camp ends Friday); Justin Faulk with the Carolina Hurricanes (camp ends Saturday); Joe Basaraba with the Florida Panthers; Adam Krause with Tampa Bay (Saturday through Wednesday); Drew Olson with Columbus (concluded July 4); Max Tardy with St. Louis; Brady Lamb with Pittsburgh (July 12-17); Caleb Herbert with Washington (July 12-17); and Scott Kishel with Montreal (camp ends Friday).

     Also at the Chicago camp are Brett Olson of Michigan Tech and Mike Sislo of New Hampshire, both from Superior, and Hermantown’s Drew LeBlanc of St. Cloud State.

    I assume Basaraba is at FLA’s but can’t confirm it.

    Oberg is of course at VAN’s and Sharp and Bordo are at ANA. Assuming Stalock will be at SJS.
