Some post-season signings to catch up on everyone:
The first two here courtesy of Western College Hockey: Colorado College captain Mike Testwuide signed a two-year free agent deal with the Philadelphia Flyers. Testwuide will sit out the rest of the year to let an injury heal, before trying to make the Flyers next season. Testwuide emerged as a top free agent candidate this year when he score 21 goals as captain of the Tigers.
The Minnesota Wild have signed former Colorado College defenseman Nate Prosser. Not only is Prosser a former college hockey player, but he’s also a native Minnesotan. Things have definitely changed down in St. Paul.
This from Minnesota State Mankato: The Idaho Steelheads of the East Coast Hockey League have announced that they have signed Minnesota State-Mankato senior forwards Geoff Irwin and Kael Mouillierat.
Irwin, a senior captain for the Mavericks this year, completed his four-year Minnesota State career with 32 goals and 52 assists for 84 points in 143 games. His 84 points ranks 13th on MSU’s all-time scoring list for the NCAA Division I era. Irwin, a Victoria, B.C., native had 8-16–24 in 37 games as a senior to tie for fifth on MSU’s scoring charts.
Mouillierat, who served as an assistant captain during the 2009-10 campaign, finished with 49 goals and 43 assists for 92 points in 144 career games with the Mavericks. His 92 points ranks tenth for MSU’s NCAA Division I era. The Edmonton, Alta., native tied for second on MSU’s scoring charts as a senior with 13-12–25. He tied for the team lead in goals and shorthanded goals and led the Mavericks with four game-winning goals. He his nine career game-winning goals ties for seventh on MSU’s all-time list.
