As Minnesota Duluth departed the snowy conditions of Northeastern Minnesota, heading to its first hockey destination of 2010, the Bulldogs were headed straight to…..more snow. Below is a weather update for Burlington, Vt., as the Catamount Cup opens Saturday afternoon.
UMD faces Mercyhurst College of Erie, Pa., at 3 p.m. and outside of Gutterson Fieldhouse it will be snowing. The Bulldogs arrived in Burlington, Vt., early Friday evening in pretty good shape, although KQDS radio voice Bruce Ciskie reported three equipment bags belonging to UMD players were unaccounted for….but Saturday morning says all the gear has been reunited with its owners. (It’s not snowing in Duluth on Saturday morning, however, it is 20 below zero).
Rink and Run WILL NOT be on site this weekend, but will post game updates here Saturday and Sunday.
