Paris International Marathon Sells Out With 40,000 Entries
The Paris Marathon, on April 11, 2010, is sold out — 40,000 entries. "This early end to the registration shows once again the craze the Paris Marathon provokes," states race spokesperson Emilie Poucan. "Race Results Weekly" informs us that Paris ranked #3 in Europe in 2009 with 30,334 runners, an increase of five percent over 2008 (London had 35,306 and Berlin 34,994). Paris now ranks No. 5 in the world in finishers. New York is No. 1 with 43,475 in its November 1 race.
