Sunday marked the 28th Twin Cities Marathon from Minneapolis to St. Paul, and the accompanying TC 10-Miler. Some results:
Overall marathon winners were Jason Hartmann of Boulder, Colo., in 2:12:09 and Ilsa Paulson of New York City in 2:31:49 (second in the women’s division was Colleen De Reuck, age 45, in 2:32:37). Grandma’s Marathon champion Mary Akor of Hawthorne, Calif., was ninth in 2:38:51. Jennifer Houck of Duluth, in her first serious marathon attempt, was 38th in the women’s field in 2:47:42. There were 8,428 finishers.
There were 5,797 finishers in the 10-Miler. Winners were Abi Abdirahman, 32, of Tucson, Ariz., in 46:35 and Rachel Booth, 28, of Mountain View, Calif., in 57:33. Duluth’s Marlo McGaver was 14th in the women’s field in 1:03:27. Jeremy Polson of Duluth was 30th overall in 51:43. Janet Rosen of Cloquet won the women’s 55-59 age-group and set a Minnesota single-age record for women age 55 in 1:09:17,
