The 2009-10 Division I recruiting classes as ranked by Inside College Hockey. Minnesota Duluth is No. 11, fifth among WCHA schools.
AND, this just in, former UMD defenseman Jason Garrison, an NHL rookie, has made the 24-man, opening-day roster for the Florida Panthers. Florida begins the NHL season in a series with Chicago on Friday and Saturday in Helsinki, Finland. The Forida defensemen are: Bryan Allen, Keith Ballard, Jason Garrison, Ville Koistinen, Kulikov, Jordan Leopold, Bryan McCabe, Dennis Seidenberg. Ballard and Leopold are former Gophers.
And, Jay Rosehill, very briefly a UMD defenseman for 34 games in 2004-05, made the Toronto Maple Leafs roster as a left winger. He had 103 penalty minutes with the Bulldogs.
