Running to the Top

      Duluthians Jeremy Polson and Jen Houck, winners at Friday’s 38th Park Point Five-Miler road race, remain atop the open rankings for Minnesota men and women this season as determined by the Minnesota Running Data Center.

       Runners earn points for time performances in approximately 55 Minnesota events from the mile to the marathon.

       Polson, 31, has 64 points and second-place Chris Erichsen, a former St. John’s University runner, is second with 43. Houck, 25, has 55 points and Kim Magee of Bloomington, Minn., is second with 50. Among women age-group leaders are Katie Koski of Duluth in 35-39 and Janet Rosen of Cloquet in 55-59.
